Welcome New and Returning Band Families

Band Camp Information:

Band Camp will be held at Derby Middle School from Monday, July 30th through Friday, August 3rd, 2018.

Our current plan is to hold the last day of Band Camp (Friday, 8/3) at Maple Field at Seaholm High School!!

There will be a Pre-Camp for new students (freshmen, new band members), section leaders and drum majors on Sunday, July 29th from 5:30pm - 8:00pm.

A New Parent Information Meeting will also be held that evening from 7:00pm - 8:00pm.

Important Documents:

  • 2018 Band Camp Letter - Details band camp dates, times, and attendance requirements. Also includes dates for Post-Camp and first Home Football Game Performance.

  • 2018 Seaholm Band Important Information - Details items to bring to band camp, registration, dues and uniforms.

  • Online Registration -- We are replacing our old paper forms with an online registration system. We will be using SportsEngine -- some of you may be familiar with it from Seaholm Football, Hockey or other sports.

We are finishing the design of the forms and instructions and will send out a link late next week (by June 29). This will still get us your registration information much earlier than with the old paper forms.

Stay tuned for more details next week.

We will be flexible and can work around any individual issues.

  • 2018 Band Camp Conflict Form - Band camp is required for all members of the marching band (see Band Camp Letter above for details).

If your student cannot attend Band Camp or Post Camp, please complete the online 2018 Conflict Form.

Marching Band Course Requirements

All students who participate in the high school band program must participate in Marching Band during the first trimester. Varsity football players who wish to be in band will be given an alternative assignment for the first 10 weeks, since they will not be required to march. The Marching Band performs at all home football games, all playoff games and the Halloween Parade. Each school year will begin with a week long Marching Band Camp late in the summer. It is a requirement that all band members attend the entire week of band camp in addition to periodic evening rehearsals.
